We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team at Grimoldby Primary School. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled and proactive Family Support Worker to join our dedicated team. This is a vital role supporting children and families, removing barriers to learning, promoting positive learning behaviours and securing the best outcomes for our pupils.This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, highly organised, confident working with families, and committed to safeguarding children.About the RoleThe successful candidate will:✔ Work alongside the SLT to provide family-centred support and remove barriers to learning.✔ Build positive relationships with families, offering support, guidance and signposting to relevant services.✔ Promote positive learning behaviours across the school.✔ Liaise with parents on welfare, attendance and home or school matters.✔ Use school IT systems and databases effectively to manage casework and maintain accurate records.✔ Collate and prepare information from a variety of sources.✔ Support early intervention and safeguarding processes, ensuring families can access the help they need.✔ Work with the SLT and School Office to develop and implement attendance strategies for non-attenders.✔ Develop a strong knowledge of external agencies to provide appropriate referrals and support.✔ Maintain regular contact with families and encourage their involvement in their child’s learning.✔ Support children and families through key transitions.✔ Attend meetings as a school representative, including multi-agency meetings.✔ Communicate with sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with difficult situations.✔ Prepare Early Help referrals (TAFs) and reports for external agencies.✔ Undertake home visits in accordance with school procedures.✔ Serve as part of a team of Designated Safeguarding Leads.What We OfferA welcoming and supportive school environment.
