Location: Sudbury
Salary: Up to £26,000 basic (dependent on experience with increase in April) plus bonus and flexible benefits package including up to 27 days holiday (plus bank holidays and option to purchase additional leave)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

The Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative Role
As a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role within our Sudbury Regional Distribution Centre, supporting the efficient movement, storage, and despatch of stock. This is a hands-on role requiring accuracy, organisation, and a strong focus on health and safety.
You will be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations, including goods inwards, order picking, stock control, and forklift driving. Working closely with colleagues across the site, including Sales and Purchasing, you will help ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, check, and correctly store inbound deliveries, verifying quantities and condition against purchase documentation.
• Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to support goods inwards, replenishment, and despatch activities.
• Accurately pick, pack, load, and despatch customer orders in line with agreed service levels.
• Maintain accurate stock records and participate in regular stock checks and inventory audits.
• Process customer and supplier returns in line with company procedures.
• Work closely with internal teams to meet delivery schedules and resolve any order-related issues.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, quality, and customer service at all times.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and ISO standards, reporting any concerns promptly.
Essential
What You Will Bring
• Minimum one year’s experience in a busy warehouse or distribution environment.
• Valid forklift licence (counterbalance preferred; Bendi/Pivot Steer advantageous).
• Proven experience handling goods inwards and outwards accurately.
• Strong awareness of health and safety and manual handling best practice.
• Reliable, flexible, and team-focused with a strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills and a basic standard of maths and English (GCSE A-C or equivalent).
Desirable
• Experience working closely with sales or purchasing teams.
• Exposure to multiple product lines and fast-moving stock.
• Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
