Job Description:
An Architect is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of building projects, ensuring they are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. With the designation 16D25, this role requires an advanced level of expertise in architectural design, project management, and sustainable building practices. An Architect in this capacity works closely with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to create detailed design plans and oversee the construction process. This role demands a strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and environmental impact assessments. The Architect also plays a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities
• Develop detailed architectural designs from initial concept through to completion.
• Conduct site evaluations and assessments to collect necessary information for projects.
• Create comprehensive construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with clients to determine their needs and project specifications.
• Manage project timelines, including setting deliverable timelines and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with all building, safety, and local planning regulations.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders during the construction phase.
• Evaluate environmental impact and promote sustainable building practices.
• Prepare cost estimates and oversee budget management throughout the project.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior architects and interns.
• Conduct project reviews and ensure the quality of work meets the agreed standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new architecture trends and building technologies.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional certification or licensure as required by state authority.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
• Strong proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
